There are a lot of witches and wizards to keep track of in Hogwarts Legacy, from your teachers, to the companions you meet, to the nefarious villains whose plans you’re tasked with foiling. It can be tough to keep track of everyone, much less find them all! In this guide, we’ll list every character in the game and their role.
Hogwarts Teachers & Staff
What would a school be without its teachers? Although you don’t get to spend as much time in class as we might have liked, the professors of Hogwarts Legacy look just as rich and varied as the faculty that was around in Harry Potter’s time. In Hogwarts Legacy, the Hogwarts professors and staff include:
Hogwarts Students
Students are the heart and soul of the school, and Hogwarts Legacy has an interesting and diverse cast of students. We’ll list the companions first, and then the rest of the students in alphabetical order. Here are the students you’ll meet in Hogwarts Legacy:
Hogwarts Ghosts & Paintings
While not as explicitly crucial to the school’s function as teachers and students are, the castle ghosts and portraits are nonetheless an integral piece of the fabric of the school, providing comic relief (and perhaps the occasional Spiritus Ex Machina) throughout the Harry Potter books and movies. The ghosts you’ll see in Hogwarts Legacy are:

- The Bloody Baron – Slytherin Ghost
- The Fat Friar – Hufflepuff Ghost
- Sir Patrick Delany-Podmore – Headless Hunt member
- Fastidio – Poltergiest
- Fat Lady – Portrait that guards Gryffindor Tower
- Richard Jackdaw – Headless Hunt member
- Nearly-Headless Nick – Gryffindor Ghost
- Peeves – Poltergeist
- Sir Dumfrey Westland – Headless Hunt member

Villains
The game’s plot has been kept under relatively tight wraps, but it seems safe to assume at this point that the goblin rebellion will feature prominently in the main quest. Whether leading a goblin rebellion against the Ministry of Magic is actually a bad thing is certainly up for debate — goblins seem like they’re pretty oppressed in the Wizarding World — but as far as Hogwarts Legacy is concerned, it seems like the rebels will likely be “the bad guys”. Some of the key villains of Hogwarts Legacy are:

- San Bakar – Slytherin
- Isidora Morgfanach – Ravenclaw (Not actually a Keeper, but appears in their memories)
