How to Solve the Arithmancy Classroom’s Puzzle Doors – Hogwarts Legacy

This guide will walk you through solving the Arithmancy’s Classroom Puzzle Doors — this set of three puzzle doors is just over the wooden-boarded walkway from the Divination Classroom’s Floo Flame. In order to open each door, players will need to put the correct symbols on each of the two question mark panels in the area. The player can cast Revelio to make the panels glow blue.

  • Rewards
    • Fringed Brushstroke Scarf
    • Jack-O-Lanterns
    • Cream Pinstripe Ensemble
    • Cabinets

The symbol panels to open the first puzzle door are very close to the door itself. If you search on the desk in front of the door, you will find the reference sheet outlining which symbols are which numbers. The double question mark panel is to the right of the first door, and the single question mark panel is to the left of the door. The correct symbol for the double question mark panel is the Three-headed Snake, and the correct symbol for the single question mark panel is the Owl.

Magic is no match for math

If you’re curious why those panels were correct, they each represented a number that solved the number puzzle on the door. Each of the symbols has a number, and when those numbers at the corner of each triangle add up to the number in the middle, the door will open.
