In the south of the map, the village of Cragcroft seems to be beset by a particularly ruthless Ashwinder by the name of Silvanus Selwyn. He and his gang have been hiding out in a nearby castle, disrupting the lives and trade of Cragcroft, and Hyacinth Oliver will need your help to take them out.

Speak to Hyacinth Oliver

To / begin Sacking Selwyn, you’ll need to head to Cragcroft and find Hyacinth Oliver standing atop a small cliff overlooking the village. Speak to her (/) and she will tell you about Silvanus Selwyn, who has been terrorizing the town. He is holed up in the nearby Cragcroft Castle, and you’ll need to deal with him.

Find Silvanus Selwyn’s Hideout

The fastest way to reach Selwyn’s Hideout, if you haven’t yet unlocked the Floo Flame that is adjacent to it, is by flying there on broom (+/). If you do approach this way, than you should make sure to veer to the left side of the castle as you approach it so that you can grab the Floo Flame in this area, for if you need to come back later.

Defeat Silvanus Selwyn

Once you make it to Cragcroft Castle, you should start by casting Disillusionment in order to sneak through the camp. While it is possible to fight your way through the camp to reach Selwyn, it will be much easier to deal with him if you are able to sneak up to him without being seen, where you can take him out effectively instantly.

Once you get into the camp, being careful to avoid guards (and maintaining Disillusionment), you should go to the upper portion of it and continuously use Revelio until you locate Selwyn (your character will make a comment when he comes into view). From here, it is best to sneak up on him and cast Petrificus Totallus (/) to start strong with plenty of damage. From here, you can make short work of Selwyn by using Ancient Magic and Ancient Magic Throw ().

After taking out Selwyn quickly, the rest of the camp will be on you. At this point, you don’t need to take them on, and can instead simply fly off and head back to Hyacinth Oliver. But, you can take out the camp if you wish, making sure to grab the various chests in the large tents if you do.

Return to Hyacinth Oliver

Once you are finished with Selwyn, you can head by to Hyacinth Oliver in Cragcroft and speak with her. She will thank you for taking out such a dangerous bandit.
