In this walkthrough of the main story quest “The Locket’s Secret”, you’ll regroup with Professor Fig and plan your next move — and your next lesson.

Location: Astronomy Wing, Hogwarts Castle (map)

- Complete Welcome to Hogsmeade
- Read your Owl Post from Professor Fig

Before you can begin this quest, you’ll need to go into the / menu and open up your Owl Post. Find the letter from Professor Fig, and open it.

Talk to Professor Fig

If you haven’t already activated the Floo Flame outside Professor Fig’s classroom, the Charms Classroom is probably the closest fast travel point you have. Get as close as you can via fast traveling, then tap to get the golden thread that will guide you to Professor Fig — he’s in the back of his classroom, in the office. If he’s at his desk, walk up and talk to him with / , otherwise stand in the golden circle and press / to wait.

You’ll speak briefly about the map Professor Fig found, and how Ranrock wants the locket that revealed said map. Once the conversation ends, he’ll send you to Professor Hecat, in order to prepare you for any potential dangers awaiting you in the Restricted Section.

I’m there and he doesn’t interact and there’s no gold sign. I read the paper message before. the quest I’m in his regroup with professor fig….

Strange… have you tried saving your game, then restarting it and reloading?
Edit: I’ve updated the images in the guide to make it more clear what it’s supposed to look like in his office if you’ve done the quest’s requirements.

good news! I saved on a new empty slot and quit the game and closed the PS5 game app. Started it again and loaded my game and there it was, professor Fig ready to interaction! thank you for the update as well
