How to Solve the Hogwarts Bridge Puzzle – Hogwarts Legacy

Hogwarts Legacy has a plenty of Puzzles to offer, and once such puzzle will be right inside the Hogwarts Castle, hiding a valuable treasure from prying eyes… In this guide, we will walk you through the Bridge Puzzle: its location, how to solve it, and the loot you might get out of it!

What is the Bridge Puzzle

The Bridge Puzzle is actually part of the Solve Hogwarts Secrets Challenge — solving it will count towards it. The reason is, this puzzle will grant you access to one of the hidden areas of Hogwarts: be on the lookout for mysteries of this kind, since they typically come with great rewards!

Where Is the Bridge Puzzle

The Bridge Puzzle can be found… on the largest bridge of the castle! You will be easily able to spot it, since it provides a connection between the student area and the study area:

The easiest way to reach the bridge is via the Viaduct Courtayd Floo Flame!

How to Solve the Bridge Puzzle

The Bridge Puzzle is actually among the easiest puzzles you will find in the game! To complete this puzzle, you just need to have a Fire Spell available, such as Incendio or Confringo.

1. Begin by lighting all four of the bridge pillars with either Incendio or Confringo.
2. After each brazier is lit you will want to check the diagram on the bridge floor to see the correlation between each number and each image.
3. Next, you will want to match each brazier’s number to its specific image. This can be done by interacting with the brazier by pressing either F//, depending on whether you play on a PC or a Console.

Once all four braziers are aligned, you will see a completion cinematic, prompting you with a new set of challenges, the Solve Hogwarts Secrets Challenge. Once the cinematic finishes, all you have to do is approach the new-found trapdoor on the bridge and simply descend the stairs!

Bridge Puzzle Rewards

Once you enter the trapdoor and go down the stairs, you will want to use Revelio to uncover the Ornate Chest waiting for you in the archway and the two Collectible Chests!

Now that you have finished the puzzle, all you have to do is reap the rewards for your excellent detective skills! As we discuss in our Legendary Gear Guide, Ornate Chests will always get you a Legendary Gear piece, meaning that you can choose to complete this puzzle early for a powerful Legendary Gear piece or save it for much later in the game, since the gear piece you will find inside will be set to your level.
