Hogwarts Legacy 7/24 Hotfix – HAGS (Not That Kind) Crashes Fixed

Hogwarts Legacy released a Hotfix today, aimed at improving stability when both frame generation and HAGS (Hardware-Accelerated GPU Scheduling) were enabled for some players. It also fixed a minor bug where buying a broom could lead to the ‘ingredients’ collection tallies’ to reset (and no, I don’t remember what that means).

This minor Hotfix comes about a month and a half after the release of Hogwarts Legacy’s big “Summer Update,” which added plenty of new features. And so, if all they have to patch is a single niche crash and a “collection tally,” we’d say that makes the game pretty stable at this point. It might not be exciting news, but it’s good news.

As for the wording of the fixes coming with this July 24th Hotfix to Hogwarts Legacy, that is as follows:

  • Stability
    • Fixed instances where memory leaks and invalid shared pointer usage were found when running on graphics cards that support frame generation and having HAGS (Hardware-Accelerated GPU Scheduling) enabled.
  • Knowledge
    • Fixed instance where buying a broom at Spintwitches would cause the ingredients’ collection tallies to reset.

Again, this might not be huge news, but it is nice to see a game need so little patchwork after a big patch, ensuring that it will be playable in its current state going forward. In an era where so many games do have so many bugs, crashes, and game-breaking errors, it’s good that Hogwarts Legacy just works.
