This puzzle door is located behind the large locked door next to the Bell Tower Floo Flame, which leads to the Long Gallery. You will need to have completed The Caretaker’s Lunar Lament main quest in order to get Alohomora before you can access this puzzle. Once you do, it will be right behind the large door.

Solution to Puzzle Door

The symbol panels to open the puzzle door are just to the left and right of the door itself. The single question mark panel is on the left when facing the door, and the double question mark panel is on the right. The correct symbol for the single question mark panel is the Three-headed Graphorn, and the correct symbol for the double question mark panel is the Unicorn.

Explanation

For the Long Gallery’s puzzle door, the top triangle’s formula is 12 + Spider (8) + ? = 10, which means that the ? must be 2 (Graphorn). The bottom triangle’s formula is Unicorn (1) + Spider (8) + ?? = 7, which means that the ?? must be Unicorn (1).
