The Weeping Peninsula, a tragic land south of Limgrave, is home to a variety of dungeons beneath its ruined landscape. From shadowy caves to ancient tombs, each offers unique challenges, valuable loot, and deadly foes. This guide covers all the dungeons in the Weeping Peninsula and what to expect inside them. In the list below, you can find a walkthrough for every dungeon in the region. If you’re looking for a complete walkthrough of Weeping Peninsula, head here.
Weeping Peninsula Dungeons
Impaler’s Catacombs is a short but tricky dungeon filled with stone imps and a few nasty surprises. Imps lurk in ambush throughout, though their positions are often obvious. A notable trap room features a rising floor that can be avoided by triggering it and stepping back, revealing the path forward. A later flooded area spawns infinite enemies that will attempt to grab and overwhelm you, making it best to run through while grabbing loot, including the
Prattling Pate “Please Help.” After unlocking the boss door, you’ll face the Erdtree Burial Watchdog with several Imps alongside.
Earthbore Cavern is a short dungeon filled with rats and a formidable Runebear. A trapped chest near the entrance will break the floor beneath you if approached carelessly, dropping you into a swarm of rats—though you can avoid this by approaching from the right. Beyond the rats, a tunnel leads to a drop-down section where careful platforming allows you to descend safely. At the bottom, you’ll face the Runebear, a highly aggressive foe that rewards the
Spelldrake Talisman upon defeat.
Morne Tunnel in the Weeping Peninsula is a mining dungeon filled with upgrade materials and enemies weak to strike damage. Descending via the starting elevator, you can jump onto platforms to safely reach the lower level. The first major split leads to an optional area containing loot like
Exalted Flesh and a
Large Glintstone Scrap, though a few enemies guard the way. Throughout the tunnels, you’ll find several
Smithing Stones and groups of miners, along with flying enemies that can be tricky to deal with—bait them into lowering themselves before attacking.
The deeper sections of the tunnel contain more humanoid foes, and it’s best to draw them out rather than fight them all at once. After collecting materials and clearing out enemies, the final chamber houses the boss, the Scaly Misbegotten, who drops the
Rusted Anchor upon defeat.
The Tombsward Catacombs are a short dungeon filled with skeletons that revive unless struck again while glowing. Holy damage is especially effective here. Early on, a locked room requires a
Stonesword Key and contains the
Nomadic Warrior’s Cookbook [9]. The dungeon features several ambushes, archers, and a fire-spewing pillar that must be navigated carefully. Attacking the pillar temporarily disables it, allowing access to the
Prattling Pate “Thank you” item, though doing so triggers a wave of skeletons.
To progress, hit the flame pillar again and use it as an elevator to reach the upper level. After clearing a few more skeleton-infested rooms, you’ll find the lever that unlocks the boss gate. Returning to the entrance to rest before facing the Cemetery Shade is recommended, as it is a fast and aggressive foe that can kill you quickly. Defeating it rewards you with the powerful
Lhutel the Headless ashes.
The Tombsward Cave is a poison-filled dungeon with rats, humanoid foes, and aggressive flora. A
Torch or
Lantern helps with visibility, and
Neutralizing Boluses can counteract the poison hazard. Enemies are weak, but the poison water and projectiles make navigation tricky—avoid rolling in the poison to prevent lingering buildup.
The dungeon splits into two paths: one leading straight to the boss, the other offering loot at the cost of more poison exposure. Taking the longer route rewards you with the
Nomadic Warrior’s Cookbook [8] and
Immunizing White Cured Meat. A final chamber holds an
Arteria Leaf and
Poisonbone Darts, guarded by large poison-spewing flowers. At the end, you’ll face Miranda the Blighted Bloom, who drops the
Viridian Amber Medallion.

Castle Morne is the largest dungeon in the Weeping Peninsula, nearly a Legacy Dungeon in scope, and completing it advances Irina’s questline. It features multiple branching paths, enemy skirmishes, and a mix of loot, including the
Claymore,
Whip, and
Twinblade Talisman. Expect a challenging descent through castle ruins filled with Misbegotten and other foes.
The dungeon begins with a large courtyard leading to multiple routes. Exploring thoroughly will reveal valuable loot and eventually bring you to Edgar,
Irina’s father, who refuses to leave until he retrieves the treasured sword of Morne. If you give him the letter you might’ve received from Irina earlier, you will progress
Irina‘s questline. Further exploration leads to wooden platforms, castle walls, and lower levels packed with enemies and useful items. At the dungeon’s end, Edgar can be summoned to help fight Leonine Misbegotten, who drops the
Grafted Blade Greatsword upon defeat.
