How to Beat Demi-Human Queen Maggie – Elden Ring Boss Guide

Rewards: Memory Stone, rune v2 elden ring currency 13000
Summons Available: Yes

You might recognize this boss from the Weeping Peninsula, where it was just a regular enemy. Here, the main difference is the increased amount of HP, and the fact that Demi-Human Queen Maggie is backed up by several sorcerers.

  • This being an open world boss, don’t hesitate to run away and heal up when needed.
  • Deal with the sorcerers surrounding the boss before focusing on Demi-Human Queen Maggie.
  • This encounter is much easier if you remain mounted.

First, no matter your playstyle, you will want to defeat all of the smaller enemies that are next to Demi-Human Queen Maggie. If you’re melee, run towards the sorcerers, attack them once as you run through and run out. Repeat this process until they’re dead. If you’re playing a ranged character, dodge the enemy projectiles before attacking them, and patiently wait for openings.

As for the Demi-Human Queen Maggie herself, you can safely attack her once she missed one of her attacks. If you’re melee, the ideal moments to close the distance will be after she either thrusts her staff forward, or once she misses her Glintstone Shard attack. Once you’ve closed the distance, you can either land a hit or two and run out, or try to stick to the boss’s backside while circling around her. To make it even easier, you can simply use some summons to distract her, which will make it even easier to close the distance.

If you’re playing a ranged character, you can just throw everything you’ve got at her while using some summons to distract her. Additionally, if she’s still alive by then, run close enough for her to try and thrust her staff towards you, which should give you several seconds to retaliate with a ranged attack.

No matter how you decide to approach this fight, the main thing to watch out for is when Maggie uses the Crystal Burst attack.

While this attack deals damage in a pretty large cone in front of her, the range on it is limited. If you’re ranged, you can just outrange it. If you’re melee, you can either wait it out at a safe distance, or if you’re close enough, run close to the boss as she initiates this attack, as she will be unable to target you if you’re under her.
