This build is a late-game, high-stat jack-of-all-trades that excels across multiple areas of combat and is difficult to counter in both PvE and PvP. I have spent countless hours attempting to perfect it.
Core Buffs and Synergies
Radahn’s Great Rune: Increases max HP, FP, and stamina by 15%, which is immense at this level.
Flame-Shrouding Cracked Tear: Boosts fire damage by 20%, enhancing:
- Blasphemous Blade attacks
- Taker’s Flames skill
- Fire attacks of Rellana’s Twin Blades (left-hand sword and Fire Stance)
- Fire-based spells like Rykard’s Rancor and Magma Shot
Magic-Shrouding Cracked Tear: Boosts magic damage by 20%, affecting:
- Dark Moon Greatsword attacks
- Moonlight Greatsword skill
- Ancient Death Rancor, Rings of Light, Explosive Ghostflame
- Magic attacks from Rellana’s Twin Blades and Moon Stance
Golden Vow: Increases all damage by 15% and defense by 10%. Buffs all offensive attacks.
Flame, Grant Me Strength: Increases fire and physical damage by 20% each. The fire bonus stacks multiplicatively with the Flame Tear, while the physical bonus stacks with Golden Vow.
Armor Synergies:
- Gravebird Helm: Boosts Rings of Light damage by 15%
- Raptor’s Black Feathers: Increases jump attack damage by 10%
- Omen Gauntlets & Greaves: Each increases Regal Omen Bairn damage by 5%, for a 10% total boost; adds poise and defense
Weapons and Talismans:
- Prince of Death’s Staff: +10% damage to Ancient Death Rancor and Explosive Ghostflame
- Staff of the Great Beyond: Allows casting of both sorceries and incantations from a single catalyst, greatly improving loadout flexibility

All buffs stack multiplicatively. When fully buffed, offensive attacks can deal 150–250% of base damage.
Optional Pre-Combat Buffing Ritual
This general buff rotation can apply to any stance for massive stat and damage amplification:
- Horned Bairn →
- Wondrous Physick →
- Blessing of the Erdtree →
- Golden Vow →
- Flame, Grant Me Strength →
- Scholar’s Shield
Use as needed based on encounter difficulty and available prep time.
Combat Stances
1) Fire & Ice Knight
Right: Dark Moon Greatsword | Left: Blasphemous Blade
Best for burst damage and non-boss encounters. Jump attacks benefit from Raptor’s Feathers and register twice, enabling Rotten Insignia stacking. Even without full buffs, jump → combo chain deals massive damage. Ranged fallback via Moonlight GS R2s and Taker’s Flame.
2) Hybrid Spellcaster (Defense)
Right: Spell weapon | Left: Fingerprint Shield (buffed with Scholar’s Shield)
Perfect for boss fights and PvP. Highest block rating in the game with efficient stamina use. Rotate main weapons situationally. Great spell economy with Dark Moon GS. Prince of Death Staff enables top-tier death sorcery scaling. Strong synergy between stagger/projectile and concealment spells. Rellana’s Twin Blades offer physical DPS and utility via Moon/Fire Stances.
3) Hybrid Spellcaster (Offense)
Right: Dark Moon GS or Rellana’s Twin Blade | Left: Staff of the Great Beyond
Or: Right: Prince of Death Staff | Left: Blasphemous Blade
This stance offers maximum versatility and DPS variety. Cast both fire and magic spells while keeping access to weapon skills. Note: Staff of the Great Beyond does not benefit death sorcery boosts, but other buffs still apply. Strong PvE potential with constant weapon and spell cycling.
4) Twinblade Assassin
Right: Rellana’s Twin Blades | Back: Blasphemous Blade
High DPS via quick physical and elemental combos, constantly proccing Rotten Insignia. Stances offer AoE and crowd control. Life-steal from Blasphemous Blade remains active even on back. Great for dungeons, exploration, and regular mob encounters. Emergency healing via two-handing Blasphemous Blade.
Equipment Slots
- Regal Omen Bairn (10% boosted by gauntlets/greaves)
- Flask of Crimson Tears
- Flask of Cerulean Tears
- Wondrous Physick (Flame + Magic Tears)
- Horned Bairn
- Boluses: Death Blight, Blood Loss, Scarlet Rot, Poison
- Warming Stone (stacked with Blessing of the Erdtree for party regen)
Summary
This build is about optionality, which is both its greatest strength and its learning curve. The wide array of weapons, spells, buffs, and stances ensures you’re never hard-countered and always have an effective response at your disposal. Mastering the buff sequences, weapon pairings, and stance switching requires practice, but the reward is unparalleled power and adaptability.
Its ability to deal high fire, magic, physical, and holy damage makes it extremely difficult for enemies to resist, allowing you to handle virtually any scenario without the need to change your loadout.
With 88 stamina and 80+ in every stat except Arcane, this build is only viable at very high levels, but once unlocked, it becomes an NG7+ masterwork.
This is my 400+ hour journey distilled into one build and it continues to bring me immense joy.
