Int / Faith

Hello, this is a build I use for my spellcaster save. The whole concept I wanted for this build is focusing entirely on having access to all faith/intelligence spells, as you can see, 71 points makes us able to cast the highest requirement spells for sorceries and incantaions, you can use both “Rellana’s Twin moons” or “Light of Miquella” if you want as long as you have “circlet of light”, it also has excelent scaling with “Rellana’s twin blades” ash of war and Euporia, which are two of the most fun to use weapons in my opinion, as you can guess this build is very fragile and has a low 50 vigor on top of using light armor, with 0 investment in endurance, you have poor poise and will probably die in a lot of “vigor check” attacks, so I understand that it’s probably not a viable build to everyone, it also doesn’t help that both Rellana’s twin blades and specially Euporia have a very agressive playstyle, I use “Staff of the Great Beyond” because it obviously can cast both kinds of spells AND scales amazingly with faith/int, but you can also change into using “Prince of death’s staff” and “Golden Order seal” if you want the maximum possible scaling for each sorcery and incantation, also you can’t go wrong with having a buckler in your second slot for those clutch parries in many bosses and enemies, lastly, a misericorde with magic infusion will obliterate anything in critical hits, I often use it with “Bloodhound step” for mobility and dodges like in the lake of rot or the gaius bossfight, but you can use it with “raptor of the mist” as both work well, lastly, you can probably squeaze a bit more armor and resistances into this build if you are confortable with switching weapons in the menu mid-fight, but since goldmask’s drip is immaculate and I can’t be bothered with that, you can carry all the weapons in you all the time.

But even with these hard drawbacks, this has been one of, if not the most fun build I have ever played in Elden Ring. Being able to adapt to anything, always mixing perfect dodges and well-timed spells in conjunction with weapon usage, has been a blast.

Tips:

  • I would highly encourage you to keep trying and messing with every spell you come across; don’t be chained to the ones I chose here.
  • Feel free to swap the Bloodsucking cracked tear if you find it too taxing for you. I highly recommend using the “Blessing of the Erdtree” if you do use it, though.
  • You can also change the talismans if you want to focus on a specific playstyle at certain points. “Flock canvas” and “Graven mass” are amazing if you want to give your spells that extra “Oomph” behind them, but I definitely think that “Radagon Icon” is a must if you plan to weave spells and hits at close range.
  • On the topic of Greatrunes, if you actually want to use them, it is honestly a pretty even choice between “Morgott”, “Radahn”, and “Godrick” greatrunes. Since Morgott and Radahn’s greatrunes provide a percentage increase, 50 vigor and 35 mind might not provide that much of a difference in the end, since these are “below average” values, and surprisingly, “Godrick’s greatrune” is the one that provides the most FP instead of Radahn’s rune. So use whatever you like because all of them have basically equal value. (Definitely don’t use Malenia’s great rune, since you won’t be able to immediately retaliate due to the low poise)
