Prophet turned Dragon Cult Warrior
Weapons:
The main source of damage is raptor talons buffed with electrified armament.
This can be swapped for power-stanced curved swords, but you’ll need to apply lightning grease to both rather than electrified armament (because raptor talons count as 1 weapon, you can buff both claws with 1 incantation before power stancing)
When fighting bosses, add Golden Vow buff + wondrous physick (lightning shrouded cracked tear for extra damage + opaline hardtear for some extra defence)
Talismans:
Lightning Scorpion Charm – extra lightning damage but slightly lower damage negation
Dragoncrest Shield Talisman – swap this out for any other defensive talisman to help mitigate the lower damage negation caused by Lightning Scorpion Charm
Winged Sword Insignia – raises attack power with successive attacks – perfect for quick slashes with power-stanced raptor claws
Green Turtle Talisman – buffs stamina regen to help keep up the attacks (helpful with relatively low endurance)
Incantations:
A selection of dragon cult lightning spells for AOE damage + some range. I’m also using the gravelstone seal to buff Dragon Cult incantations.
Armour:
I’ve added enough endurance for an armour set with 51+ poise, which helps to avoid staggering during long cast animations—the specific pieces can easily be swapped out to fit your own style.
Playstyle:
Electrified Armament (or lightning grease) should be applied at all times for your lightning damage buffs.
You want to mix in dragon cult (lightning) incantations, either when you have range or the time to cast a large AOE (best for fighting mobs)
Most of the time, you want to be in the enemy’s face, hitting as many successive strikes with the electrified raptor talons as possible. For this reason, I’ve given this character higher vigour and heavier armour as you’ll likely take some hits.
This is probably not the perfect stat spread for the character. However, I started as the Prophet class, so there’s a healthy dose of roleplay involved in this character’s creation, too! Depending on how often you use incantations, you might want to swap out a few faith points (forfeiting Fortisax’s Lightning Spear) and increase dexterity or endurance instead.
