Blasphemous Vanquisher

Build Overview

This build uses the blasphemous blade, one of the best weapons in the entire game. It does physical and fire damage, has a b in faith scaling, heals you when you kill an enemy, and has a great skill. Taker’s Flames shoots a flame projectile that does great damage, has good range, and heals you quite a bit.

Stats

Vigor is at 60 for the soft cap and so we can tank hits while using the skill. Mind is at 30 for plenty of fp and Endurance is at 40 for some good stamina. Strength and Dex are at minimum to wield the weapon. Faith is at 94 for maximum damage with Taker’s Flames, which scales purely off of the weapon level and Faith.

Weapons and Armor

In addition to the Blasphemous Blade, we use the Erdtree Seal because it has the highest Incant scaling at 80 faith, and the Madding Hand will stack with our other Madness buffs. Three pieces of the Rakshasa set increase all damage by 6% and the Black Dumpling will also stack with Madness buffs.

Spells

Besides our buffs, we use Knight’s Lightning Spear for a good ranged option with lightning damage. Pest thread spears and Ancient dragons lightning strike are insane against large enemies, such as dragons. Scarlet Aeonia can proc rot instantly against enemies with high hp that deserve an hp drain.

Talismans

The Shard of Alexander boosts Taker’s Flames by 15%.

The Talisman of the Dread increases magma attacks, which Taker’s flames is, by 15.

The Fire scorpion charm increases fire damage by 12% while decreasing physical defense by 10%, but this is hardly noticable.

The Aged One’s Exultation boosts attack power by 20% for 30 seconds after triggering madness, and stacks with other madness buffs. You could also use The carian filigreed crest, the Dragoncrest greatshield talisman, or any other Talisman you find useful.

Buff Routine:

  1. Cast Howl of Shabriri twice to build up madness, but be sure to wait about 10 seconds between the casts so as to not proc it immediately.
  2. Drink the Flask of Wondrous Physick for around a 40% increase for 180 seconds. Your health will start draining.
  3. Blessing of the Erdtree will counteract the Bloodsucking Cracked Tear by gradually healing you for 60 seconds. The healing from Taker’s Flames will do most of the work, though.
  4. Golden Vow for 15% increase to damage and 10% increase to defense for 60 seconds.
  5. Howl of Shabriri for 25% increase to damage and 30% decrease in defense for 40 seconds. This should also proc madness, which will give us around 40% extra damage for the first 20 seconds and continue to give 10% extra for 40 seconds after that.
  6. Drink a flask of Cerulean Tears and heal as needed. I would recommend a spread of 10 crimson and 4 cerulean for flasks.
  7. Enter the fight.
  8. Optional: Throw a Hefty Oil Pot. These are easy to craft (just requires 1 whiteflesh mushroom and 3 dewgem, both easy to get in the Shadow Realm.) and will increase the next hit of fire damage by a massive 65%. This will just make Taker’s Flames’ damage skyrocket.
  9. Watch the boss cry as you press buttons, and they just die in a few seconds.
  10. Repeat as needed for the next boss.

WIth these steps, Taker’s Flames will burn everything to the floor.

How to use this build

Spamming Taker’s Flames will destroy most things in this game. It will heal you and also do a lot more damage if you hit with the blade itself. If you face a boss that if highly resistant to fire damage, like mohg, use Knight’s lightning spear, which will deal excellent damage due to the Erdtree seal and our high faith. Large enemies, such as dragons, will die almost instantly to pest thread spears and ancient dragons lightning strike. Scarlet Aeonia can be used to proc rot quickly against enemies with high HP. The Talismans, armor, and stats will optimize the damage of Taker’s Flames.
