Act 3 Walkthrough & Checklist – Baldur’s Gate 3

You’ve come a long way in Baldur’s Gate 3, but there is still a bit to go yet in the form of Act 3. As the conclusive chapter to the game, Act 3 is absolutely massive. It includes everything from the lead up through Rivington to Wyrm’s Rock, from the massive Lower City to the secretive Sewers and Undercity, and from the cursed House of Hope to the haunted Szarr Palace — and much more. Thankfully, we’re here to act as your city guide through the city of Baldur’s Gate.

Each Act of Baldur’s Gate 3 is divided into a number of different regions, and we are working on guides for each and every one of them. Currently, all of the guides for Act 3 are being worked on. The regions of Baldur’s Gate 3’s Act 3 are as follows:

• Rivington: Introduce Yourself to Act 3, with its increased NPC count and many mysteries.
• Wyrm’s Rock: Enter Gortash’s domain, rescue a friend from Act 1, and defeat an ancient dragon with some history with the Emperor.
• Lower City: Explore the massive cityscape, with seemingly endless quests, shops, and mysteries.
  • The Blushing Mermaid: Put a stop to Auntie Ethel’s Hag Shenanigans
  • Cloister of Sombre Embrace: Give Shadowheart some Resolution with the City’s Resident Sharrites
• Sewer & Undercity: Recruit Minsc (and Boo), undercover Orin the Red’s Lair, and interact with the underbelly of the city.
• Ramazith’s Tower: Discover mystical artifacts and deal with the powerful Razamith.
• Iron Throne: Rescue the imprisoned Deep Gnomes (and Wyll’s dad) from Gortash.
• Steel Watch Foundry: Destroy the Steel Watch, Gortash’s mechanical enforcers
• Counting House: Solve a Bank Heist (and engage in some heisting yourself)
• House of Hope: Find Hope and put a stop to Raphael’s accursed dealings
• Szarr Palace / Cazador’s Dungeon: Defeat Astarion’s vampiric master
• High Hall: Finally face down the Absolute, and possibly another Illithid master

Once you have faced down the final boss(es) in the High Hall, that means that you have finished Baldur’s Gate 3. There is still an Epilogue to see so that you can see what happened to all the characters you met along the way.

After you’ve finished, though, there is surely much more to see on a 2nd playthrough. When it is time for that, we’ll be ready to help you out way back in Act 1.
