MULTICLASS BUILD
Are you an aficionado of Necromancy but without having to summon armies of undead? You enjoy a build where you can actually roleplay a bit with the more nuanced, darker sides of life… and death? You like a build that comes alive before reaching Act 3 so you don’t have to bench your character to prevent it from dying all the time until it finally is strong enough?
Then this might be the build for you.
Starting off, you will rely mostly on the Triangle of Death, consisting of Bursting Sinew, Toll the Dead and
Bone Chill. Only to build and expand upon it by leveling up.
Preferably you want to have hit level 6 of
Cleric before you get to the Underdark.
As your Archmage of Necromancy I am obliged to instruct you in the ways of applying torture through the use of the different spells of the Triangle. You will want to..
Use Bursting Sinew against enemies with low
Dexterity.
Use
Bone Chill against enemies with a relatively lower AC. (Armour Class.)
Use Toll the Dead against enemies with low
Wisdom.
I won’t bore you too much with the technical details of the build so let’s get down to the actual build. Levelwise you ultimately will want to build towards a: 8
Death Domain Cleric / 2
Necromancy Wizard / 2
Circle of the Spores Druid.
Wisdom, especially will be your dominant ability. For the ones still uninitiated in the ways of Multiclassing, this means that either
Cleric or
Druid needs to be the last class you take your first level in, since these two classes use Wisdom predominantly for their offense.
Optimal Race:
Wood Elf,
Wood Half-Elf or you could use
Shadowheart after tweaking her abilities a bit with a little respec!
Why?: These two races make use of
Fleet of Foot. The more movement you have at your disposal, the better.
