Since patch 1.03, many players have lamented that the epic (but perhaps overly difficult) fight against one of Elden Ring’s coolest bosses was now far too easy. Fortunately, today’s hotfix seems to suggest that the nerf bat wasn’t supposed to come down quite so hard on horse-riding Radahn. The hotfix’s only notes are as follows:
- Fixed a bug in the balance adjustment of the boss “Starscourge Radahn” in update 1.03, in which the power of some attacks was unintentionally reduced.
According to Twitter user king bore, patch 1.03 reduced the width of Radahn’s attacks as well as their damage, and also nerfed the boss’s projectiles significantly. The damage reduction will be gone with 1.03.3, but presumably all the other nerfs will remain. Hopefully, the end result is a boss fight that still offers a challenge without becoming frustrating (as pre-nerf Radahn clearly was for a lot of players).
