Finger Ruins of Miyr – Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree

The Finger Ruins of Miyr are an optional, hidden location in the Lands of Shadow. This DLC location contains a unique weapon, and is the only path to an optional boss. Otherwise, there isn’t much to actually do in the Finger Ruins of Miyr — but unlocking them is quite a bit of work. In this walkthrough, we’ll explain how to access the area, what to do once you’re there, plus what to do before you get there!

The Finger Ruins of Miyr are accessed from the Scadu Altus region, which can be reached a couple of ways: by going through Castle Ensis, or by using the Spiritspring jump near the Elder’s Hovel. Once you’re in Scadu Altus, you’ll need to head to the Cathedral of Manus Metyr, which is in the eastern part of the region.

  • First, make your way to the Moorth Ruins, which are east of Castle Ensis, and make your way underneath the ruins to find the Bonny Village site of grace.
  • Go through the Bonny Village, and continue east across the two bridges.
  • Follow the road north, to the Church District Highroad site of grace.
  • From the Church District Highroad site of grace, take the road that turns south to the Cathedral of Manus Metyr.

  • Once you’re In the cathedral, talk to the man on the throne, Count Ymir. Exhaust his dialogue, and he’ll give you the Hole-Laden Necklace.
  • Go to the Finger Ruins of Rhia, which are accessed via the Cerulean Coast. There, sound the hanging bell in the center of the ruins.
  • Go to the Finger Ruins of Dheo, which can be found by going through the eastern portion of Scaduview. Once again, sound the hanging bell in the center of the ruins.

  • Once you’ve rang both hanging bells, return to the Cathedral of Manus Metyr, and exhaust Count Ymir’s dialogue.
  • Rest at the Cathedral’s site of grace, and return to Ymir’s throne. He should be missing — walk up to his throne and you’ll be able to interact with it. The throne will slide back, revealing a ladder.
  • Slide down the ladder to enter the Finger Ruins of Miyr.

  • Unique & Important Items
    • Claws of Night

After going down the ladder, you’ll see the third and final hanging bell to the north. Head that direction, and you’ll be invaded by Swordhand of Night Anna — she inflicts bleed, so consider equipping something like the Stalwart Horn Charm, or otherwise buff your Robustness before being invaded. This NPC invader doesn’t have any particularly dangerous moves, and the usual jump-attacks and/or kiting will work just fine. Note that she does throw fan knives that inflict bleed, so know that you aren’t safe just because you’re out of melee range. Upon defeat, this NPC will drop the Claws of Night.

Next, continue north, and you’ll be able to grab the Finger-Weaver’s Cookbook [2] by following the path that leads left of the hill with the bell (1). After that, all that’s left to do is go up the hill to the bell and interact with it.

Interacting with the bell will teleport you to a boss arena, where you’ll be able to fight Metyr, Mother of Fingers.

Upon defeating Metyr, you can return to the Cathedral of Manus Metyr to continue this questline! When you do, you will find both Count Ymir and Jolán hostile, and will need to fight them to continue the questline.
