Half-Orc Version – “The Absolute Crit Reaper”
Swashbuckler Rogue 4 ▪ Oath of Vengeance Paladin 5 ▪ Hexblade Warlock 3 The single most terrifying crit-fishing monster in the game.
Key Strengths
- Savage Attacks: +1 extra die on every critical hit (melee). → A critical Divine Smite becomes 5d8+ radiant instead of 4d8. → With Hexblade’s Curse + Sarevok helm + Risky Ring = crit on 17–20 → absolute nuclear explosions.
- Relentless Endurance: once per long rest you drop to 1 HP instead of 0 → Honour Mode saviour.
- Highest possible crit burst in the entire game (regularly 500–700+ damage on crit turns).
- Shadow Blade (upcast) + Resonance Stone = 8d8 → 16d8 psychic per hit.
Final Items Exactly the same as the High Half-Elf version (Duellist’s + full Helldusk + Sarevok helm + Risky Ring etc.). The Half-Orc just gets WAY more value out of Sarevok’s crit fishing.
Playstyle: Same rotation, but every critical hit is a fireworks show. Curse → Vow → 2× Shadow Blade / normal attack + Smite → watch bosses evaporate when you roll 17+.
Verdict
- High Half-Elf = smoothest Act 1, most elegant playstyle, still completely broken.
- Half-Orc = slightly rougher early game (no Booming Blade, drink Cloud Giant/Eagle elixirs), but the single strongest late-game damage dealer in Honour Mode. Most Honour Mode runners switch to Half-Orc at the end of Act 2 or beginning of Act 3 for the absolute carnage.
