Shar’s Faithful Killer

This build is monstrously efficient in both control and damage by using Great Weapon Master and illusion/enchantment spells. I believe this is the best build to use two of the most broken pieces of equipment in my opinion because we can run both the Band of the Mystic Scoundrel and the Helmet of Arcane Acuity to give us some of the best control possible. Your first turn will often go use Edge of Darkness to set up darkness, then use your bonus action thanks to the band to cast Hold Person/Monster which will be very difficult to save thanks to arcane acuity stacks, followed by attacking again with a guaranteed crit which will trigger divine smite. This builds damage is bolstered even further from the combination of Shar’s Spear of Evening, with Bhaalist Armour and GWM which means we will almost always have advantage in darkness and also deal and extra 1d6+10 which is doubled thanks to vulnerability. This build was initially made to be used in an overwhelmingly powerful darkness themed team which made setting up darkness even easier.
