> @ Level 4+ the build comes online; until then, use the toolkit available <
How it Works :
– Cast Moonbeam on an enemy, and since Sanctuary is a ‘bonus’ action, just cast it after. On turn 2, use the action ‘Move Moonbeam’ and repeat. Since enemies can’t target you because of Sanctuary, they will either skip their turn, run around, or rarely actually attempt to do AOE damage to break your concentration. This is why maintaining a good distance from enemies is a constant you should observe.
< Notes >
> Go to the Goblin Camp and talk to True Soul Gut and get marked as ‘Absolute’ – this works in conjunction with Phalar Aluve [Shriek] (Action) + Ring of Absolute Force to do some extra damage during fights with Moonbeam.
> Potions of Angelic Reprieve add huge QOL.
> The only meta-magic we’re actually concerned about is ‘Extended Spell’ to increase the Moonbeam and Sanctuary duration from 10 turns to 20. If you use Potions of Angelic Reprieve, you can stack a ton of sorcery points and convert them into spell slots using ‘Create Sorcery Points’ / ‘Create Spell Slot’. Be sure to leave a few sorcery points so you can use Extended Spell for a long fight! (2 Points)
> Use Absolute’s Warboard before you get the Kethric Shield and replace it in A3 with Rhapsody (Knife) – which is the reason you will be taking ‘Dual Wielding’ at level 9.
> In A3, replace Gloves of Power with Helldusk Gloves (Spell Save) or Nimblefinger Gloves (Sleight of Hand).
> In A3, replace Amulet of Misty Step with Amulet of the Devout.
> It’s OK if you do not get Auntie Ethel’s Hair or the Mirror of Loss; the build will still function just fine. The same goes for the Statue of Yourself / Loviatar’s Love & ALL ILLITHID RELATED POWERS / BUFFS.
> Before you get the Armour of the Sporekeeper, use Yuan-Ti Scale Mail (will give you 20 AC).
The main reason we are using the Armour of the Sporekeeper is for the ‘Spore’ actions we receive – we gain access to the exclusive action ‘Haste Spores’, which creates a cloud that we can walk into, giving us another chance to move the Moonbeam without breaking our concentration on Sanctuary! We also get ‘Symbiotic Entity’ by just being a Spore Druid, and it allows us to gain some temporary health points, and we can cast it every short rest. Not to mention, before we get Moonbeam, Halo of Spores is a great reaction you can use every turn that does 1d4 Necrotic Damage, great for the early game!
THE ONLY RULE IS DO NOT BREAK CONCENTRATION!
