Oopsy Daisy, the Clumsy Thief

Daisy sees herself as a kind of Robin Hood figure, but there’s just one problem. She’s extremely clumsy and makes a terrible thief. She’s very charming and would make an excellent bard if she had gone that route, but she doesn’t know how to play music or sing. So she took up a life of stealth and sleight of hand instead, and she’s pretty ill-suited to it.

Summary

This is more of a concept than a full build. Instead of a min/maxed character who will pass as many checks as possible, this is your chance to try something that will keep you on your toes and let you see what happens when you fail those checks instead. It certainly won’t make the game easy, but it might give you a fun new perspective!

Character Creation

You don’t have to make this character a Rogue. You could put together a perfectly viable Bard and just have the clumsy thievery be a fun quirk. However, making this a martial character will really double down on the challenge and hilarity that result from your clumsiness!

The essential elements are to keep your Dexterity low and avoid proficiency in Sleight of Hand and Stealth. You may also want to stay away from other physical skills such as Acrobatics and Athletics to emphasize the character’s complete lack of grace, and/or skip skills like Investigation and Perception to ensure they are oblivious to their environment.
