Nightfall

Nightfall — The Walking Death

Nobody remembers what his real name was.

Maybe even he no longer remembers.

The world knows him only by the name whispered in terror by crime lords, cultists, warlords, and tyrants across the Sword Coast:

Nightfall.

Because when he appears, everything ends.

Born with the curse of the Dark Urge, Nightfall was shaped for murder long before he ever understood what morality meant. Violence came naturally to him. Killing came easier than breathing. After Orin the Red shattered his mind and the mind flayers abducted him aboard the nautiloid, fragments of memory returned like bloodstained echoes.

Enough to reveal the horrifying truth:

He was made to be a perfect killer.

And perhaps he still is.

But now he fights that nature every single day.

Nightfall walks the path of resistance, trying not to succumb to the darkness within him. Yet unlike many redemption seekers, he does not pretend to be merciful. He knows exactly what he is capable of, and he uses it with terrifying efficiency.

He is not noble.

He is necessary.

His combat style is built around absolute lethality:

The supernatural ambush mastery of a Gloom Stalker Ranger, allowing him to strike from darkness before enemies can even react.

The devastating precision of an Assassin Rogue, turning surprise into instant execution.

The ruthless physical perfection of a Champion Fighter, ensuring every strike lands harder, faster, and deadlier than it should.

Nightfall fights with twin blades, each one moving so quickly that witnesses often fail to understand what happened until bodies begin to fall. He does not duel. He does not posture.

He erases.

Targets die before they realize combat has begun. A throat opened in silence. A heart pierced between breaths. A shadow appearing behind someone only after they are already collapsing.

And then he is gone.

Some call him a monster.

They are correct.

Nightfall himself would never deny it.

What separates him from the monsters he hunts is not kindness—it is direction.

He chooses where the blade falls.

Nightfall is ruthlessly pragmatic. If sparing an enemy today leads to the destruction of a greater evil tomorrow, he will let them live. If sacrificing one innocent prevents the deaths of hundreds, he will carry that sin without hesitation.

Every decision is weighed against the future.

Every death is calculated.

Because Nightfall understands something heroes often refuse to accept:

Sometimes the world is saved not by purity—

but by someone willing to become feared in order to protect it.

When darkness settles over the streets of Baldur’s Gate, even hardened killers grow uneasy. Not because guards are near.

Because something worse is hunting them.

A figure moving silently between rooftops.

Twin blades glinting for only an instant.

A death sentence already delivered before anyone notices he was there.

He is not a hero bathed in light.

He is the necessary horror standing between the innocent and something even worse.

Nightfall — the assassin who hunts monsters with monstrous efficiency.
