RPing Direction:
A Fighter at heart and Sworn to Vlaakith, Lae’zel learned the ways of the Ranger to hunt the Empire’s foes as they fled the Astral Plane. After the Nautiloid crash, what was once a hunt became an expedition. In her extended travels. Lae’zel has come to learn that other realms and cultures have strength to offer beyond her own. She has even picked up a glimmer of Cleric knowledge from her unexpected companionship with Shadowheart. Loyal to the propserity of the Gith while endeared to the Far Realms, Lae’zel’s newfound approach to life and fighting blends her heritage with adopted knowledge. She serves her people and her companions with the power to back whatever judgement she decides is best for either.
Combat Tips:
- A lot of options for Weapon based combat. Powerful Melee with potent Range when coupled with arrows as well.
- All In is often toggled off, and should at least be toggled off by end of turns. It sucks to have Riposte or an Opportunity attack trigger only to miss.
- However, Pushing Attack, Trip Attack, and Menacing Attack all create situations where you can attack with Advantage. All In is great to toggle on in these scenarios, before being toggled back off before the turn ends.
- Her equipment makes it extremely hard for her to get hit by any meaningful amount of damage or effects by most enemies, so it’s usually ok to push things to the limit. Blink is an emergency exit while playing into the theme of the RP direction.
- War Priest Charges can be used to make an attack with a Bonus Action. There are only 3 charges until a long-rest. If no other Bonus Action has been taken, the option to make another Attack and consume a charge will be enabled by default.
- Bonus Attack becomes available upon making a Critical Hit or killing a creature. Horde Breaker helps increase the likelihood of enabling either of these triggers on the merit of getting more attacks in.
