Ixen-giz Rathvalar: The seeker, the performer. The light, the dark
He first sought solace on the ocean’s vast expanse, searching for meaning in the cold, distant gleam of the celestial sphere. A true night creature, with a bottle of rum in one hand and a telescope in the other, he devoted himself to mastering the astral charts and channeling the profound, radiant light that now courses through his very soul.
In the bustling coastal taverns and sprawling harbors, he discovered his true habitat—a thriving ecosystem where the patterns of the starlight could be read, not just in the heavens, but in the fleeting gestures of people, the arrangement of objects, and the flow of movement. He realized the microcosm mirrored the macrocosm: what happens in the sky also happens on the ground, and he found he could anticipate events moments before they unfolded. What is music, after all, if not a divine pattern? With his expert charm and dazzling talent, he quickly became the magnetic flare of any gathering.
The Shadow’s Lure
Yet, shadows cling to the light. The joyous venues he frequented were always tainted by sudden, untimely deaths, leaving him perplexed. This darkness was something his divination could not foresee. Convinced he was stalked by an opposing force—the very counterpart to the light he desperately sought—he turned to the clergy, searching for a remedy to this creeping curse.
When no simple cure was offered, he proclaimed himself a Sanctified Stalker, a warrior of divine will sworn to hunt down this enveloping darkness wherever it may hide, and obliterate it with the sheer force of his innate radiance.
Little does he know that the very darkness he so furiously hunts, the umbra he seeks to destroy, is a truth buried deep within the core of his own being—himself.
