Infernal Knight

Apollo, the Infernal Knight

Hell wrote Apollo’s name into its ledgers long before he ever spoke an oath.

Born a Zariel Tiefling under the Dark Urge, damnation was supposed to be his destiny—rage, fire, and endless slaughter in the service of greater evils. The flames came easily. Obedience did not.

Apollo did not bargain for power.

He outplayed it.

He wields a massive two-handed weapon with frightening speed, closing distance in a heartbeat, striking with force that feels less like wrath and more like finality. Infernal fire coils around his blade and armor, not as corruption, but as captured violence—hellfire bent into service rather than surrender.

His oath of vengeance marks evil without mercy, yet Apollo is no mindless executioner. He has set aside his own purity, his reputation, even the comfort of moral certainty to do what must be done. If sparing a monster today leads to a greater reckoning tomorrow, he will let it walk—let it believe it has escaped judgment.

It never has.

Apollo will hunt it later, when its fall saves more lives. When its end matters. Justice, to him, is not about immediacy—it is about outcome.

The fiend who thought to own him learned too late that Apollo studies hell the way hell studies mortals. He took its power without giving his soul, wielding infernal magic as a weapon against its own kind. Every spell, every strike is proof that damnation can be reversed when will is stronger than temptation.

He is heroic, but terrifyingly pragmatic. He resists the Urge not by denying it, but by aiming it. Innocents are protected because Apollo stands between them and the things that stalk the dark. Monsters fear him because he understands them better than they understand themselves.

They call him Apollo, the Infernal Knight—

not because he serves hell,

but because he is the monster hell created…

and lost control of.

He is the fire that burns other fires out,

the blade that hunts what should never be allowed to live,

and the last thing evil sees when it believes it is finally safe.
