This build is ENTIRELY assuming you’ll be playing with a party that either dishes out boon spells or constant healing. This uses OATHBREAKER not Oath of Vengeance. VERY IMPORTANT: There’s a very easy way to break your oath involving the madeline questline where you torment her for her actions by making her stab the dude she’s possessing. You can find it on bg3wiki under oath of devotion.
In Act 1 you’ll most likely be using shillelagh on a torch with another torch being in your off hand until you get flame blade which then you swap the offhand torch for the flame blade. In Act 3 you can swap the torch for legendary one in Act 3.
That being said, you’ll need Risky Ring for Advantage on Attacks and Arcane Acuity Equipment which can all be grabbed in Act 2 (Swappable if better stuff are found during Act 3)
Use Arcane Acuity stacks for Holding Spells and AoE control to decimate the playing field; an easy way to get stacks off a single person without using any spell slots is the hellfire hand crossbow, which gives you scorching on a single person. Use all of scorch on a enemy with the lowest AC or Highest Hit Chance and then go to work with your spells with max acuity stacks. Sorc in later levels help with saving throws on bosses and maximizes I.e or guarantees concentration spells.
Race: Doesn’t really matter BUT half orc allows you to essentially get downed twice with relentless and bonus action survival instinct, in turn you’re allowed for a less demanding AC if you want to grab more damage with other equipment.
- Half elves have a SHIT ton of movement especially with longstrider you can kite enemies really well that get close to you and just walk backwards continuously – essentially the rogue lifestyle on roids
