Father Danovich

Father Danovich from Curse of Strahd

Description: Father Danovich is a priest of the Morninglord with a secret, his son Doru is a Vampire spawn. Doru ran away after a quarrel with Danovich and returned as a Spawn. Danovich , not having the heart to kill his son, locked him in the basement. Ten long years he prayed to no avail. After witnessing Strahd kill his friend Kolyan, Danovich decided to go with Kolyan’s children, to keep them safe and maybe find someone who can cure Doru.

Build Description : I see Danovich as a Devotion Paladin. Prayers rarely get answered in Barovia so his powers coming from his oath and not the Morninglord make sense.

Important features

• Protection Fighting Style: Father is always trying to keep his allies safe.
• Magic Initiate Cleric: Guidance is great spell both mechanically and thematically. Light works wonders in a party mostly of Human. As a spell Healing Word is a great buff.

Future Feats

• Resilient Strength: Works great with monsters and casters that tend to keep the paladin from coming close.

Gear: Going for gear that feel like relics.
