Leveling guide
Start with STR 8 DEX 17 CON 14 INT 16 WIS10 CHA 8 (or swap the WIS and CHA if you want to be the face of the party)
Take Wizard up to 6 with the bladesinging subclass. You want to dual wield with the Phalar Aluve and Larenthians Wrath. I used Shadow Blade until I got Larenthians.
Next take two levels of Paladin, Oath of the Crown – Righteous Clarity makes it so you never miss attacks (outside a nat 1)
One level of Light Domain Cleric. This is for the Mystra tag and so you can use warding flare on the odd chance the enemy hits a crit on you. Always use the Shield spell unless it isn’t available.
Next level wizard to 12.
Gear Guide
ACT 1
Take any clothing you like and run mage armour with bracers of defence. Dual Wield Shadow Blade and Phalar Aluve until you get Larenthians. Make sure to pick up Minthara’s armour, we will need this.
ACT 2
This is where the build really comes online. You want to grab the Helmet of Arcane Acuity. When this is equipped, Mage Armour and Bracers of defence are useless so replace those with the reverb gear. Replace your rags with Minthara’s armour, this gives you advantage on Con Saves which makes your concentration spells never-ending (Haste Junkie)
ACT 3
At this stage, fill the slots with what’s in the gear section of the build.
Final Notes
There is a lot you can do with this build. If you ever looked at the class list and said “Man, I wanna try them all” this one will do it. It can take some time getting used to playing it but if you enjoy feeling powerful in a video game, this will do it. About to win my first Honour Mode run with this.
