Having taken an Oath of Devotion, Wyll was determined to protect Faerun from greater harm no matter the cost, and he’s payed a heavy price. Despite that, he seems to find that there is always more of himself to give. Pushing past his limits, taking on any pain extolled onto him, he comes rushing to the aid of those in need.
Combat Tips:
- This build prioritizes 1. putting yourself into mobs to initiate opportunity attacks 2. protecting or emboldening yourself or others with concentration spells 3. Enabling Force Conduit to reduce Slashing, Piercing, and Bludgeoning damage and eventually create a radius of force damage.
- Force Conduit is triggered at the start of your turn by Shield Conduit, and can be bolstered by Force Absorption, which triggers from receiving Slashing, Piercing, or Bludgeoning damage.
- Martial Exertion will provide an Extra attack until a short rest, and will self-inflict 6D6 Slashing damage, triggering Force Absorption to add to Force Conduit.
- Amulet of the Unworthy gives Slashing Resistance, reducing Martial Exertion’s damage by 1/2. However, it also gives Bludgeoning Vulnerability.
- Stun Immunity and Unwavering help to ensure you stay active
- Balduran’s Vitality and Combat regeneration help to compensate the inevitable damage you will receive, even after damage reductions
