Pythia emerged from the lowest depths of perdition after what felt like eons of torture, estranged from any semblance of caretaker. Escaping slavery under Asmodeus, she clawed her way into the adjacent blistering cold hell realm guided by an indescribable force that blossomed into spontaneous sorcery. Wandering in pain yet finally free, she discovered the power within: she was not merely Tiefling but Draconic, empowered to harness the duality of fire and ice, soon to be reflected in her purple skin accentuated by silvery scales. This draconic-demonic liminality permitted her to ascend the Nine Hells by both blending in and standing out. Pythia’s hybridity positioned her to intercede between the warring draconic deities Mahamut and Tiamat. Through her mysterious metallic bloodline, Pythia received a transmission from the former to thwart the latter’s escape, a seemingly impossible yet ultimately realized request. In exchange, Mahamut delivered her from damnation to the Prime Material Plane. Sadly, Pythia was in for yet another rude awakening.
Pythia’s resilience perhaps finds its only parallel in her magneticism. An initially closed individual battered from hardships undeserving even for the most abominable, her cthonic voyage has mirrored her magical development. At times she does not comprehend the powers or deities that have shaped her existence, yet the spark remains. Despite her pull towards benevolence from Mahamut, she wrestles with darkness within and without; she did not emerge in Nessus without warrant, even if ignorant of the causes.
