Accursed Warrior

Benedict — The Accursed Warrior

At first glance, Benedict does not look like the monster many whisper about.

He is a tall, striking half-orc, broad-shouldered and handsome in a rugged, intimidating way. His presence carries the quiet confidence of someone who knows exactly what he is capable of — and exactly what he is willing to do.

In the bustling trade halls of Baldur’s Gate, Benedict is known as a respected member of a powerful mercantile guild. His mastery of a specialized craft earned him that place — a rare honor for someone of half-orc blood. Within the guild he enjoys protection, influence, and privilege, operating as both artisan and enforcer when the guild’s interests demand it.

To merchants, he is a valuable ally.

To criminals and monsters, he is something far worse.

Because outside the guild halls, Benedict carries another name.

The Accursed Warrior.

Unlike knights who swear their power to noble causes, Benedict’s strength comes from a darker source — a mysterious pact with a shadowed entity known as the Hexblade. Through that pact he channels eldritch power directly into his weapons, transforming massive two-handed blades into instruments of terrifying destruction.

When Benedict enters battle, the air itself seems to grow heavy.

His enemies feel it first — a creeping sense of dread as dark magic coils around them. With a whispered curse and a cold gaze, Benedict can freeze opponents in place, their bodies locked by unnatural paralysis.

And then the execution begins.

His weapon crashes down with overwhelming force, empowered by raw eldritch energy. Each strike carries the weight of something ancient and merciless, smashing through armor and bone alike.

But what truly earned him his grim title is what happens after the kill.

Those who fall to Benedict’s cursed blade do not always remain dead.

Under the influence of his dark magic, the souls of slain enemies sometimes rise again as spectral servants — twisted shadows forced into existence as Accursed Spectres. These ghostly remnants fight beside him, silent echoes of those who once stood against him.

To his enemies, the sight is horrifying.

To Benedict, it is simply efficiency.

Despite the dark nature of his power, Benedict is not cruel. He is, in his own way, deeply heroic. He understands the brutality of the world and refuses to pretend that evil can always be defeated through mercy alone.

Sometimes the future must be secured through ruthless decisions.

And Benedict has never been afraid to make them.

He fights not for glory, nor for divine approval, but for something far simpler: a world where monsters cannot prey upon the weak.

If that means wielding cursed magic…
If that means commanding the spirits of the fallen…
If that means becoming something people fear…

Then so be it.

Because when the Accursed Warrior walks onto the battlefield, towering weapon in hand and ghostly spectres gathering around him, the message is unmistakable:

The wicked have already lost.

Benedict — The Accursed Warrior.
