Ancient Ruins of Rauh Bosses – Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree

In the list below, you can find guides for bosses in the Ancient Ruins of Rauh region of the Realm of Shadows (Shadow of the Erdtree expansion). We also have a dedicated Ancient Ruins of Rauh Walkthrough to assist you in your travels (or feel free to use the walkthrough menu below).

There are just two bosses in the Ancient Ruins of Rauh, the penultimate area of the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. While one of them is mandatory, being placed right at the end of the region, the other (a buffed repeat of an earlier foe) requires some clever exploration to reach.

Romina, Saint of the Bud is the final challenge at the end of the Ancient Ruins of Rauh, and has to be defeated in order to reach the end of the region. As the guardian of the last area of the DLC, Romina can prove difficult to players who struggle with her timings and insect-inspired moveset.

If you have access to Fire damage, it can easily cleave through Romina’s otherwise-tough defenses, even as you avoid her varied moveset. Her Scarlot Rot affliction can be a significant pain, and so it is good to stock up on Preserving Boluses or use other Scarlet-Rot resisting equipment when it comes time to face Romina. If you are struggling, Dryleaf Dane will be prepared to assist you, which can give you a leg up (especially given Dane’s ability to keep up stance pressure).

A rematch with Belurat, Tower Settlement‘s final boss, this slightly-hidden, optional version of the Divine Beast Dancing Lion is a significant step up from that first fight. The primary reason for this is because of the additional element that this Divine Beast has access to: Death Blight.

One of the forms that this Divine Beast Dancing Lion can transform into allows it to spew Death Blight, imposing significant danger to the fight and makes short worse of summoned allies, including Redmane Freyja. In addition, when it switches into its Death Blight form it will summon two Basilisks (Death Blight frogs), increasing the danger of the fight and forcing you to deal with them or else risk instant death.
