Beignet Lagniappe – Alone in the Dark

The Beignet is an item in Alone in the Dark called a Lagniappe, which are collectibles that can be found throughout the game. When combined into a set of three, Lagniappes unlock special rewards. The Beignet helps to unlock “Forbidden Knowledge”, and is found fairly early in the game. In this guide, we’ll go over its location, the other pieces in its set, and what the set unlocks.

The Beignet Lagniappe is found in the Mezzanine, during Chapter 2, and can be accessed after returning from the Hateful Mound. The Mezzanine is upstairs (see image 1 below). When first entering the large room from the hallway by the servant’s stairs, take a left and the beignet will be in a bowl on a table (see image 2 below).

The Beignet is a part of the A Great Depression Lagniappe set. There are two other pieces in this set for players to find:
