Fountain Pen Lagniappe – Alone in the Dark

The Fountain Pen is a Lagniappe in Alone in the Dark, a collectible that unlocks a reward when the entire set is found. Most sets grant information, but the Fountain Pen nets you a much more tangible reward. The guide covers the Fountain Pen’s location, the other pieces in its set, and what the set unlocks.

The Fountain Pen Lagniappe is found in Batiste’s Room upstairs, during Chapter 2. His room is the second room, just past Jeremy’s, in the upstairs of the house (Image 1). Players will first come upstairs via the Stair Hall and Gallery. From there, head into the hallway, and take the second door on the left, then the fountain pen will be on a coffee table on the left side of the room. (Image 2).

The Fountain Pen is a part of the Lost Children Lagniappe set. There are two other pieces in this set for players to find:

Unlike the vast majority of Lagniappe sets, which unlock forbidden knowledge or hidden objectives, this set unlocks the Shotgun Cabinet for its reward along with some hidden text. The shotgun is in the small parlor (see image below), which is very close to the last Lagniappe of the set you’ll find: the Dog collar. If you don’t want the shotgun, and instead simply want the hidden text, check out the drop down below.
