Free Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.1 Coming Alongside Release of Ultimate Edition

The official Cyberpunk 2077 Twitter/X account announced today that when Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition drops, it will come bearing gifts: specifically, a major update for the game. Update 2.1 is set to introduce “new and hotly anticipated gameplay elements”. Given the expansive changes and improvements to the game the 2.0 Update brought, it’s hard to imagine what they have left to add, but we’re excited to find out!

If you’re as curious as we are, you can tune into tomorrow’s Twitch stream, which starts Friday, Dec 1st, 4pm CET (10am EST). Two of CDPR’s community managers will be joined by quest director PaweÅ‚ Sasko and producer Monika Janowska on the official CDPR Twitch channel to go over the update.

Not that anybody asked, but here’s what we’d like to see show up in Update 2.1:

  • More faction depth – A reputation system, gang wars you can participate in, etc.
  • More missions targeting mega corps – We just want to do to Militech what we did to Arasaka…
  • More weapons and attachments – Precision Rifles are cool, and there aren’t enough of them.
  • More shops and buildings to enter – There are far too many “Open” signs for places you can’t actually go into.
  • Improved Fast Travel – Let us fast travel from anywhere, or at least let us actually ride the NCART train!
