Mods are attachments that can be added to certain weapons to increase their stats. This could include boosts to damage, Crit Chance, and much more. Mods allow for more control over the bonuses that come with your weapons.
Below we will list the different mods for both Melee and Ranged Weapons, as well as their effects.
Ranged Weapon Mods
Tip: if you care about non-lethal damage and not so much about headshot damage, instead of equipping every gun with the Pax mod, find a Target Analysis Mod for your Kiroshi Optics. Uncommon, Rare, and Epic Kiroshi Optics come with one, two, and three mod slots available respectively.
Melee Weapon Mods
Melee Cyberarm Universal Mods (Fragments)
Weapon Cyberarms come with their special mods (see mods for Gorilla Arms, Mantis Blades, and Monowire in the Melee Weapons guide, for example), but they also come with some universal mods, which you can see below. These mods would go into the final mod slot on your Cyberarm of choice once you unlock the Legendary rarity of that Cyberware.
If you are still confused, we suggest you look through our guide on Cyberware Arms — where we discuss functionality, strategy, and modding in more detail.
Cyberware mods are occasionally referred to as “fragments,” but don’t let that confuse you — they are one and the same.
