Subclass Details

A Level 1 Shadow Magic Sorcerer has access to the following abilities and features (in addition to their Sorcerer features):

• Strength of the Grave
• Superior Darkvision

Shadow Magic Progression

Level 1

• Strength of the Grave
  • If you reach 0 hit points, you regain 1 instead of becoming Downed.
• Superior Darkvision
  • Can see in the dark up to 24m/78ft.

Level 3

• Darkness (Level 2 Evocation Spell)
  • Create a dark shroud that Heavily Obscures and Blinds creatures within. Creatures cannot make ranged attacks into or out of it.
• Eyes of the Dark: Darkness (Level 2 Evocation Spell)
  • Create a dark shroud that Heavily Obscures and Blinds creatures within. Creatures cannot make ranged attacks into or out of it.
  • The caster can see normally in darkness, bot magical and non-magical, to a distance of 25m/80ft.

Level 6

• Hound of Ill Omen (Bonus Action, 3 Sorcery Points)
  • Summon forth a creature of darkness.

Level 11

• Shadow Walk (Bonus Action)
  • Teleport into the shadows. The next spell you cast that turn will benefit from Distant Spell without costing any Sorcery Points.
