When CD Projekt Red decided to make Cyberpunk 2077 a first-person game, many fans who had been excited about customization were upset. “Who cares about customization in a first-person game?”, they asked. The answer: people who want to take awesome screenshots in Cyberpunk 2077‘s photo mode. A recent trailer showed off a robust photo mode that offers a huge variety of options and effects, including the ability to alter contrast and color, add stickers and framing, and even pose your character or change their expressions.

At any moment during the action, you can jump into photo mode and capture the moment. There are five categories in which you can alter your screenshot in photo mode, ranging from basic camera settings to special effects. The features of Cyberpunk 2077‘s photo mode are:

All in all, this is a ridiculous amount of options for an in-game photo mode. While photo modes have become more common in recent years, usually this level of detail and functionality is reserved for photo-mode community mods. It feels like once again, CD Projekt Red are paying attention to what their players want; while not every player likes creating cool scenes for screenshots while they play, there is a Skyrim screenshot subreddit with over 50,000 subscribers.
