Baldur’s Gate 3 – Upcoming Updates Announced

After the recent release of Hotfix 3 for Baldur’s Gate 3, Larian Studios CEO Swen Vincke took to Twitter (Or X, we don’t judge) to reveal the studios update plans.

They are planning to roll out one more hotfix soon focused on fixing smaller bugs in the game before pivoting to larger updates. Expect a few hundred fixes to arrive with Hotfix 4. Afterwards, they’ll be pivoting to larger patches, with Patch 1 containing over 1000 fixes and tweaks according to the post. It will be interesting to see if the tweaks bring any significant balance changes.

For players with complaints about not being able to change your appearance, Patch 2 should be exciting, with Swen indicating it will include some popular requests. It seems likely this will come with some way to change your character’s appearance, judging from the director of publishing tweeting “Things are being cooked” yesterday.

Hopefully, I’ll finally be able to get a haircut.
