Baldur’s Gate 3 Hotfix #26 Is LIve – Mod Manager Fixes And Patch 7 Future

Today, Larian released Hotfix #26 for Baldur’s Gate 3. The tiny update — only 3 patch notes in total — follows the absolutely garagantuan Patch 7 (on PC, at least), which added an official mod manager to the game. And so, with the release of mods, as well as dozens of new “evil” endings and a whole novellas-worth of other changes, it is somewhat impressive that Hotfix #26, immediately following that, only needed to resolve a few small issues and a crash. Those fixes are as follows:

  • Mod Manager
    • Resolved some issues with mod filters not working as intended.
    • Fixed an unexpected crash when navigating the in-game Mod Manager.
  • Game
    • Honour Mode enemies should no longer retain their Legendary Actions when switching from an Honour Mode save to a non-Honour-Mode save.

Only Larian can release an update to their game like Patch 7 was for Baldur’s Gate 3, and then only need the smallest of hotfixes to clean it up.

Not to say this Hotfix is the last we’ll see of Baldur’s Gate 3 updates, that is, because the body text of the Hotfix also reminded players on console and Mac that Patch 7 would be arriving “soon,” sometime in October. They also indicated that this broader release would also bring some minor “tweaks and fixes” for the mod manager on PC.

In any case, and as brief as this is, it is just good to see Larian always staying up to date with keeping Baldur’s Gate 3 as polished and playable as possible, especially when one of the game’s largest patches ever is in the middle of being released. As always, we’ll keep you up to date on what comes next for Baldur’s Gate 3… At least, when we’re not busy with our new modded playthroughs of the game.
