Can You Change Your Appearance? – Baldur’s Gate 3

As you start your first playthrough in Baldur’s Gate 3, you’re presented with an in-depth character creator to help customize your avatar to your heart’s content. With the flexibility to change your class or abilities at any point during your campaign, you would expect similar mercy when it comes to your avatar’s appearance. And you’d be in luck!

Changing Appearance

As of Hotfix #9 on October 6, 2023, you can change your appearance at any time in camp using the magic mirror. To find it at any given camp, just look for the magic door () symbol on the minimap or map screen.

Head there, and click on the glowing magic mirror, which will trigger a short cutscene and then allow you to alter your character’s appearance (as well as gender and name). You cannot change your race or your class here (though the later you can always change just by chatting with Withers about respeccing).

So, no worries there! No matter how much of an ugly dumpling you might be, you can change your appearance as you need to any time you can visit camp. If only it were as easy in real life!
