Where to Find Ammo

In Alone in the Dark, you are given guns in order to fight the creatures you find during your investigation. However, like many games in the genre, ammo is a limited resource, so you will want to make sure you’re getting as much as possible. In this guide, we will go over where you can get ammo.

Simply put, the best way to find ammo is to be thorough checking your surroundings. There will be many objects, such as cabinets, drawers, and small boxes, that will allow you to interact with them when you’re close — many of these will give you some ammo when you open them. You’ll occasionally find some just sitting on top of desks as well.

Something to keep in mind, however, is that the loot in the game is randomized, meaning that you will not always find something from opening an object. Don’t let this discourage you from looking, as the game will provide you with a good amount of ammo overall if you’re opening everything.

On top of this, you will get some ammo at the start of each chapter. While this isn’t enough to solely rely on, it will help give you a head start in each chapter. Additionally, at time of writing, reloading a save will give you some ammo.

As long as you keep your eyes peeled and open everything that you can — or abuse the save system — you should have plenty of ammo to deal with anything that gets in your way of finding Jeremy!
