Pallid Mask Lagniappe – Alone in the Dark

One of the Lagniappes, or collectible items, in Alone in the Dark is the Pallid Mask. Undoubtably a reference to the Robert W. Chambers stories in The King in Yellow, here it fits in nicely with the rest of the masquerade ball-related Lagniappe Set. In this guide, we’ll explain exactly where and how to get the Pallid Mask Lagniappe.

The Pallid Mask Lagniappe is on the Flying Dutchman riverboat that’s stuck in the bayou in Chapter 4. When you’re on the boat, make your way to the top, and you’ll see a hole by a red lantern on the prow side (Image 1). Drop into the hole, kill the spider, and go into the next room; the Pallid mask is sitting on a red chair (Image 2).

The Pallid Mask is a part of the “The Pirates of Pontchartrain” Lagniappe set. There are two other pieces in this set for players to find:

If you can remember Perosi’s room back in Chapter 2, then it’s no mystery who owned these Lagniappe pieces. When you have all the pieces, you can read a bonus text. We think it’s better to read the text in game, but in the occurrence you are unable, we’ve provided it in the drop-down below:
