This successor to the Stone Axe can only be crafted and repaired at the Anvil Bench from Tier 2. It doubles the damage you deal to trees, but only adds 25% to the yield of Wood. Unless you are venturing into the Desert or are really pressed for time, you won’t see a lot of improvement. Still, this is the highest upgrade between tiers you will see in the game.
