Bones can be used to create items like bone armor and the crafted club, and can also be used to make furniture.
You can use a bone as a melee weapon, but this is inadvisable unless you have no other weapons available.

Where to Find Bones

Bones can often be found in caves. You can also create bones by picking up a corpse and placing it on a fire — once the corpse burns, it will leave bones behind.
