Walkie Talkie

Game: Sons of the Forest

Tool
Max Carried:
1 (can’t leave inventory)
A communication device that allows players to talk with one another in game. While it is equipped, other players in your multiplayer game will hear what you say through your mic.

The walkie talkie is in the player’s inventory as soon as they start the game. The button control will be disabled if you are not in a multiplayer game, but it will still be in your inventory. While in multiplayer, you can pull out the walkie talkie by pressing computer key t t/ playstation right button.

This is the game’s way of allowing its players to have group chat. When playing with other people in game, and you have your walkie talkie equipped, all players can hear what you say into your mic. However, like a real walkie-talkie, you cannot hear what other players are saying while you talk. If you’re having problems, it’s possible your mic is picking up background noise and not allowing you to hear other players.

There have been reports that the chat volume is sometimes low for players, and unfortunately there isn’t a setting to turn chat volume up. You can adjust other sound settings, though, so turning down the music and SFX while turning up your television, headset, or computer’s volume might make it better.
