Items are various objects that you can obtain throughout the game. They have a large variety of effects, and have many ways of obtaining them.

These are items used to restore HP, MP, and remove negative status effects.

Hi-Potion
Restores 1000 HP to one character.

X-Potion
Restores 9999 HP to one character.
Can be found in various chests, dropped and stolen from various enemies, and is a reward for some minigames.
Mega-Potion
Restores 2000 HP to all party members.
Can be found in various chests, dropped and stolen from various enemies, and is a reward for some minigames.
Ether
Restores 100 MP to one character.
Can be found in various chests, dropped and stolen from various enemies, and is a reward for some minigames.
Turbo Ether
Restores 500 MP to one character.
Can be stolen from various bosses, Bribed from various enemies, and is a reward for some minigames.
Elixir
Restores 9999 HP and 999 MP to one character.
Can be found in various chests, dropped and stolen from various enemies, and is a reward for some minigames.
Megalixir
Restores 9999 HP and 999 MP to all party members.
Can be found in various chests, bribed from various enemies, and is a reward for some minigames.
Phoenix Down
Revives one character from KO.
Can be bought in most shops, found in various chests, and can be dropped and stolen from many enemies.
Mega Phoenix
Revives all party members from KO.
Can be found in various chests, dropped from various enemies, and is a reward for some minigames.
Antidote
Cures Poison from one party member.
Can be bought in most shops, found in various chests, and can be stolen from a few enemies.
Soft
Cures Petrification from one party member.
Can be bought in most shops, found in various chests, and can be dropped and stolen from many enemies.
Eye Drops
Cures Darkness from one party member.
Can be bought in most shops.
Echo Screen
Cures Silence from one party member.
Can be bought in most shops, stolen from Floating Eyes, and is a reward in Blitzball.
Holy Water
Cures Zombie and Curse from one party member.
Can be bought in most shops, and can be stolen from some enemies.
Remedy
Cures most negative status effects from one party member, except for Curse and Doom.
Can be bought in the airship, found in various chests, and can be stolen and Bribed from many enemies.

These items force the enemy to drop a certain sphere instead of their normal items.

Causes an enemy to drop Ability Spheres instead of their normal items.
Can be bought in most shops.

These items can only be used with the Use command. They have a wide variety of effects.

Antarctic Wind
Deals Ice damage to an enemy.
Can be stolen from Ice Flan or White Element.
Arctic Wind
Deals Ice damage to an enemy.
Can be stolen or bribed from some enemies.
Ice Gem
Deals Ice damage to all enemies.
Can be stolen from Chimera Brains, or Bribed from Ice Flans.
Bomb Fragment
Deals Fire damage to an enemy.
Can be stolen from some enemies.
Bomb Core
Deals Fire damage to an enemy.
Can be bribed from some enemies.
Fire Gem
Deals Fire damage to all enemies.
Can be stolen from some enemies, or bribed from Flame Flans.
Electro Marble
Deals Lightning damage to an enemy.
Can be stolen from a few enemies.
Lightning Marble
Deals Lightning damage to an enemy.
Can be stolen or Bribed from a few enemies.
Lightning Gem
Deals Lightning damage to all enemies.
Can be stolen from some enemies, and is a reward in a fight in Remiem Temple.
Fish Scale
Deals Water damage to an enemy.
Can be stolen from some enemies.
Dragon Scale
Deals Water damage to an enemy.
Can be stolen from Water Flans, or Bribed from Splashers.
Water Gem
Deals Water damage to all enemies.
Can be stolen or Bribed from a few enemies.
Grenade
Damages all enemies.
Can be bought in a few shops, found in various chests, can be stolen from many enemies, and Bribed from Mech Guards.
Frag Grenade
Damages all enemies and inflicts Armor Break.
Can be stolen from some enemies.
Sleeping Powder
Damages all enemies and inflicts Sleep.
Can be stolen or Bribed from a few enemies.
Dream Powder
Damages all enemies and inflicts Sleep.
Can be stolen or Bribed from some enemies.
Silence Grenade
Damages all enemies and inflicts Silence.
Can be stolen from a few enemies, and Bribed from Bat Eye.
Smoke Bomb
Damages all enemies and inflicts Darkness.
Can be stolen or Bribed from a few enemies.
Shadow Gem
Damages all enemies by half of their HP.
Can be stolen from some enemies, and is a reward in some minigames.
Shining Gem
Damages an enemy.
Can be dropped, stolen or Bribed from some enemies, and is a reward in some minigames.
Blessed Gem
Damages an enemy.
Can be dropped or stolen from some enemies.
Supreme Gem
Damages all enemies.
Can be dropped, stolen, or Bribed from enemies, and is a reward in the Monster Arena.
Poison Fang
Damages an enemy and inflicts Poison.
Can be stolen or Bribed from a few enemies, and is a reward in the Monster Arena.
Silver Hourglass
Delays the next turn of all enemies.
Can be stolen or Bribed from some enemies, and is a reward in the Monster Arena.
Gold Hourglass
Damages all enemies and Delays their next turn.
Can be stolen or Bribed from some enemies, and is a reward in the Monster Arena.
Candle of Life
Inflicts Doom on an enemy.
Can be stolen from some enemies, and is a reward in the Monster Arena.
Petrify Grenade
Inflicts Petrification on all enemies.
Can be stolen or Bribed from a few enemies, and is a reward in the Monster Arena.
Farplane Shadow
Inflicts Death on an enemy.
Can be stolen from a few enemies.
Farplane Wind
Inflicts Death on all enemies.
Can be dropped, stolen or Bribed from enemies, and is a reward in the Monster Arena.
Dark Matter
Deals damage to all enemies.
Can be dropped from many enemies and bosses, stolen from Land Worms, and is a reward in some minigames.
Chocobo Feather
Casts Haste on one character.
Can be stolen from some enemies, and is a reward in some minigames
Chocobo Wing
Casts Haste on the entire party.
Can be stolen or Bribed from some enemies, and is a reward in the Monster Arena.
Lunar Curtain
Casts Shell on one character.
Can be stolen from a few enemies, and is a reward in the Monster Arena.
Light Curtain
Casts Protect on one character.
Can be dropped or stolen from a few enemies, and is a reward in the Monster Arena.
Star Curtain
Casts Reflect on one character.
Can be stolen from some enemies, and is a reward in some minigames.
Healing Spring
Casts Regen on one character.
Can be dropped, stolen or Bribed from enemies, and is a reward in the Monster Arena.
Mana Spring
Absorbs MP from an enemy.
Can be stolen from some enemies, and is a reward in the Monster Arena.
Stamina Spring
Absorbs HP from an enemy.
Can be stolen or Bribed from some enemies, and is a reward in some minigames.
Soul Spring
Absorbs HP and MP from an enemy.
Can be stolen from some enemies, and is a reward in the Monster Arena.
Purifying Salt
Damages enemy and Dispels positive status effects.
Can be stolen from some enemies, and is a reward in the Monster Arena.
Stamina Tablet
Doubles the max HP of one character.
Can be stolen or Bribed from some enemies, and is a reward in the Monster Arena.
Mana Tablet
Doubles the max MP of one character.
Can be dropped, stolen or Bribed from enemies, and is a reward in the Monster Arena.
Stamina Tonic
Doubles the max HP of the party.
Can be dropped, stolen or Bribed from enemies, and is a reward in the Monster Arena.
Mana Tonic
Doubles the max MP of the party.
Can be dropped, stolen or Bribed from enemies, and is a reward in the Monster Arena.
Twin Stars
Reduces MP cost of one character of spells and abilities to 0.
Can be dropped, stolen or Bribed from enemies, and is a reward in the Monster Arena.
Three Stars
Reduces the MP cost of the party’s spells and abilities to 0.
Can be dropped, stolen or Bribed from enemies, and is a reward in some minigames.

Most of these items cannot be used by themselves, but can be used as an ingredient for the Mix Overdrive and equipment customization.

Jecht’s Sphere (1-10)
Can be found in various places around Spira after defeating the Spherimorph. Refer to Auron’s Overdrive guide for the specific locations of each sphere.
Rusty Sword
Can be found outside of the Cavern of the Stolen Fayth.
Sun Crest
Can be found in the Zanarkand Ruins after defeating Yunalesca.
Sun Sigil
Can be earned as a reward in the Chocobo Catcher side quest.
Moon Crest
Can be found on the beach of Besaid.
Moon Sigil
Can be earned by defeating all of Belgamine’s Aeons in the Remiem Temple.
Mars Crest
Can be found in the Mi’ihen Highroad.
