A mask of gold that can be used to pacify the cannibals, and keep them from attacking.

Where to Find the Gold Mask

The gold mask can be found in the residential bunker, which is on the eastern side of the island (1). It will actually be on the very lowest level of the bunker, and it is guarded by a demon. Don’t forget that you can use the cross to set demons on fire. You will find the mask on the head of a cadaver in the morgue (2).

How to Use the Gold Mask

The gold mask is more effective than the red mask, but it used in much the same way. The player can equip it and hold it up to make cannibals less hostile to the player. Whereas the red mask only works on normal cannibals, the gold mask will work on even the bigger cannibals that also have gold masks. Keep in mind that neither of the masks will work if the cannibals are already hostile to you. Furthermore, they will realize you’re an enemy as soon as you take the mask off your face, so be careful using it to loot camps (since you have to have the mask down to pick up items).
