Honey is an important resource for crafting a number of things in Palworld, most notable of them being Cake (to let your Pals breed). However, this can be a hard resource to find at first — in this guide, we will explain how to get Honey at first, and how to eventually start farming it at your base!
Where to Get Honey
As we just mentioned, there are 2 ways to obtain Honey:
As a drop from Pals
Farm with a Beegarde using a Ranch at your base
The first method is something you might want to start with, but if you are at level 15 (or Level 5 and happen to have a Beegarde on your hands from a Verdant Egg), farming Honey at your base will be a more efficient approach. Let’s go over each method below.
Pals That Can Drop Honey
There are only a few Pals that can drop Honey, which we will list below, but before you catch a Beegarde to farm Honey at your base, the easiest of them to defeat will be Cinnemoth.
(We will discuss strategies for catching a Beegarde in the next section.)
Below is a full list of Pals that can drop Honey:
Pal Name

Cinnemoth

Beegarde
51
Elizabee
52
Warsect
92
Remember that it can be useful to know what any given Pal drops in general if you plan on targeting them for certain items, which includes Honey. To do that in the game, you will first have to encounter a Pal in the wild and catch it so that its information is added to your Paldeck. Then, check the Pal’s Stats menu there to see the potential item drops.
How to Farm Honey
With so few options for Pals that drop Honey, the far more efficient method of getting more would be to farm them at your base.
To do this, you will need 2 things:
A Ranch at your base
At least 1 Beegarde assigned to that base
Beegardes are easier to catch when you are around level 15, and you will have an easier time doing so if you use a flying mount
Alternatively, a Beegarde has a chance to hatch from a Verdant Egg
Building a Ranch in your farm is an easy step — you can build it as early as level 5, with 50 Wood, 20 Stone, and 30 Fiber.
After that, you will need to find a Beegarde, as it is the only Pal with Work Suitability in Farming that can also produce Honey. Check the table in the previous section if you need to know where to find them.
Be careful while trying to catch one — Beegardes can and will self-destruct frequently as soon as you get into combat with them, denying you the chance to catch them. The easiest way to counteract this is to damage them while flying above them on a mounted Pal.
It’s also worth noting that there is a chance a Beegarde will hatch from a Verdant Egg, saving you the trouble of trying to catch one.
Once you have acquired one and built a Ranch, your Beedagarde will give you an endless source of Honey. With this setup, you’ll be able to make plenty of Cake and a variety of foods!
