Where to Find the Outsider's Journals (Hints & Solutions)

To convince Momo to help you get to the Outside, you’ll first have to find three journals. In this guide, we’ll give hints and specific instructions for finding all three journals!

Where to Find Clementine’s Notebook

Get up on the rooftops of the slums, and look for a building painted with a large Outsider’s symbol – the journal you want is within.

If you don’t know what the Outsider’s symbol is, go see Momo in the apartment beneath the large orange neon sign.

From where you met the guardian, take the path indicated (1) to reach the rooftops. Then follow the path across the rooftops (2, 3) to enter Clementine’s apartment.

Once inside, head to the back room of the apartment — the notebook is on top of a computer monitor in the last room.

Where to Find Zbaltazar’s Notebook

Get on the rooftops of the Slums, and look for a building with a neon sign that has the Outsider’s symbol on top (as well as behind a cage). Head to the roof with the sign, and then find a way inside — you can access Zbaltazar’s apartment from the roof.

If you don’t know what the Outsider’s symbol is, go see Momo in the apartment beneath the large orange neon sign.

Head to where the Guardian is hanging out, then turn around and look towards the large orange neon sign. Use the jumps indicated (1, 2) to reach the roof near the neon sign. Then continue upward (3) to the neon sign. Once on the correct roof, pull the power cube out from the AC unit and then jump through the now-still fan intake (4).

Inside the apartment, you’ll need to jump on the stack of boxes near the door (1), then jump off — this will knock the boxes over, and the notebook you need will fall out (2). You can leave the apartment by scratching the window shade (3) until it springs open.

Where to Find Doc’s Notebook

Get up on the rooftops of the slums, and look for a building that has a small neon Outsiders sign (not behind a cage, but just on the side of the building) — the notebook you need is in the apartment the sign is attached to.

From the steps that lead up to where you met the Guardian, turn around and look towards the bar. Take the path indicated (1) up to the rooftops, and continue a bit higher (2). Across the slums you’ll see a small neon Outsider’s sign (3) — head that direction and go through the hole next to it.

In the apartment, go to the back of the flat and jump on/past the stacks of books that block off the sleeping area (1). Here you’ll find some Keys and a note — head to the M section and jump on and off the books stacked here to reveal a safe. You can then use the keys on the safe to find Doc’s notebook.
